It was all done over email but I did respond very quickly when the initial decision came out to say it was our first choice. I don’t know if they had a ranked waiting list or if other factors were in play. I was just relieved we didn’t have to wait too long!

Yes we are all sorted but only very recently so hang in there anyone still waiting. Thanks for asking bibity, glad you are sorted too.

So the list has moved? Congrats! Did they tell you which place were you on the waitlist? Did you call them in the meanwhile?

I'm very relieved to say that our waitlist position turned into an offer this week.  Fingers crossed for you, nail biting.  Have you had any news? 

My understanding is that waitlists move initially when offers first come out. Then again after the offer days (which take place this coming week for most schools), then again, often significantly, after 1st March when the state school offers come out as kids successful in getting grammar and 'super state' places will sometimes choose those over the indies. I'd call your preferred choice after these points and reiterate they're your first choice, you'd accept immediately if offered etc.

I will! We are waiting on Alleyns. Does anyone know how quickly these lists usually move, if at all.

Just thought I’d start a space for those of us (with or without offers) who are on a waiting list for Y7. Anyone want to wait with me? It’s nerve-wracking.
