Use ian, info@ alphafloorsanding, local family company ive used a few times, very affordable. Send p8cs and measurements for a quote and advice. Theyre dustfree too!

I've done it twice.  Once I paid for it, the other time I did it myself.  It is fairly easy and straightforward.  It's a bit like vacuuming but with more effort and more care and attention.  You can hire the machine locally.  BIG tip.  Make sure the dust bag is firmly attached before you start otherwise you will create an almighty mess!

Once you've done it you can then oil or stain accordingly.  Good luck.

Sanded two floors - excellent results but got a professional to do it.... you could do it yourself but maybe steer away from that if DIY isn't your thing. Put an advert on trustatrader and get some quotes. One of the main issues is dust, lots of it. Good luck.

Hi, we had wooden floors laid throughout our ground floor about 15 years ago. They have weathered well some parts are looking like they need some tlc. I think sanding and varnishing would be the way to go? We are useless at DIY,. IS it easy to do and will it restore them, or nearly restore them to their former glory? Also where is best to get a sander or could anyone recommend someone who could do this. Thanks so much!
