Avocado:  The Govt. told Wandsworth Council they're not allowed to fine people for speeding ??!!  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at anything that goes on in this country.  What sort of tinpot nation are we living in !

The Wandsworth roads with the ignored speed cameras I’m referring to are Priory Lane and Wimbledon Park Road, which were part of the 20mph trial.

It’s a fantastic idea in principle, however, most drivers ignore the 20mph signs and continue as normal. Unfortunately, the only way this will actually work is if speed cameras are set up that lead to fines. The speed cameras set up by Wandsworth Council last year are now redundant as the government have told Wandsworth Council they’re not allowed to fine people speeding.
