We can provide a few recommendations across the Kensington Wing, Lindo Wing and Portland Hospital - by our reckoning we think there are 70+ private obstetricians working across the three aforementioned maternity wings / hospitals.

I have had all 3 of my kids at the KW at C&W, and had Charlotte Deans for my 3rd pregnancy and birth. (I wish I’d had her for my other two!). She was honestly INCREDIBLE. The best dr I have ever come across:. Kind, HUGELY knowledgeable, (she has a big NHS role too), so personable and really makes so much time for you, no question goes unanswered. She also doesn’t take on that many private patients which means she has enough time for the ones she does. Honestly, my third pregnancy was quite tricky and I have never felt safer or more looked after. Postnatal care on the KW was excellent too, from the midwives and also Charlotte. Really, really recommend.

Also interested in this. I have also heard good things about Dr Angela Yulia.

Kensington Wing Chelsea and Westminster

Hi all. I am currently deciding which consultant to go with to deliver my first baby. I am quite nervous about childbirth due to a few friends having traumatic (and some fatal) experiences. For that reason, I have decided to go down the consultant-led private route and am looking at the Kensington Wing (Chelsea and Westminster private wing). I am open to either vaginal birth or c-section, depending on what the consultant feels is best for me. I am considering Charlotte Deans or Shane Duffy as I have read great things about both. Does anyone have any experience with either of these consultants? Or any other positive experiences at the Kensington Wing? Thanks in advance!
