Yes, DAMS is the company working with them. Don't engage with them at all. They will then most probably pass it to Bond Turner - a dodgy legal firm that seems to be dealing with all their claims. There is also a "garage" supposedly assessing all the damage and producing fake reports. Our insurance company successfully quashed it all as fraudulent and the damage claimed did not correspond to the CCTV footage we luckily had thanks to our neighbour's doorbell cam. Talk to your insurance company as soon as possible. Our insurance was great and they knew Bond Turner and actually had a fraud person dedicated specifically to dealing with their claims

This happened to me this week just off Richmond Road in Kingston whilst waiting to turn right on a junction in a quiet residential street. The rider gave me a Brazilian name and I have since been contacted by DAMS (looks like same company as MCAMS) asking about my version of events. I’ve reported it the police and Insurance Fraud Bureau. Have sent a private message asking to be added to the WhatsApp group!

They provide fake insurance certificates to the accident management companies who proceed with the claim.

Its rare they're legitimately insured for couriering.

The same thing happened to me over a year ago. Luckily, it was also caught on a neighbour's camera and the insurance company managed to dismiss it as fraudulent. Our driver was also Brazilian. What we've learned in the process that there are many drivers so their names might be irrelevant but, when you look into it, what many of these claims have in common are - the same bike rental company, the same accident recovery garage and the same legal firm representing them...

I appreciate that you cannot post the person’s name on this forum but would you be able to post initials so I can check with my relative if there is a match. We’re trying to demonstrate to lawyers that this is a well known scam occuring in SW London so trying to amass related cases and info from social media.

can you message me your number and I'll add you to the whatsapp group who will help you with it. There's been hundreds locally!

Exactly this happened to me a few years ago on Tooting high street. I had a witness too but sadly didn’t help my case. I was really shaken by the whole thing.

My car was hit by a Brazilian/ Portuguese speaking driver back in June 2024. It happened in a quiet residential road in Teddington when I was turning right. Luckily a neighbour caught it on her ring doorbell. The driver’s name was Eneas. My insurance company signed it off as no fault to me as a fraudulent claim. Sadly the police were not at all interested. Happy to chat about it.

I too was involved in what I believe to be this scam earlier this week at the mini roundabout between Magdalene and Lyford road.
The rider sped up then went very slowly into the side of my car as I was midway across the roundabout.
He then started filming me on his phone. He had insurance documents to hand and wanted my details.
I then also had a call within 24 hours from the private company MCAMS wanting my details. Please remember that you do not need to give anyone your details, licence plate is enough for insurance.

This has just happened to me today . Turning right out of a side road on Balham High Road. A moped driver (name definitely sounded Brazilian) and he was extremely organised with insurance docs etc ready. There was no damage to either his bike or my car and he just crashed into the front tyre. Luckily a lady witnessed the entire thing and is willing to give a statement. He was stopped and as soon as I edged forward a degree, he took his chance and rammed into my tyre. I have his name? I wonder if others have the same name?

I would check next door for video footage and reports the same man and his accomplice are circuiting the area
A lot of victims stating it’s the same man bike etc
