Completely agree with the poster who said stay at home. My Son is 3 and trust me you get used to all these venues soon enough. For a 1st and 2nd birthday you are really just entertaining the adults!

Sorry, this might be quite late for the original 'poster' but just came across this and just wanted to let you all know that Mood Food Cafe, Penwith Road in Earlsfield has a room out the back which they let out for children's party. It is a good space, good food and Lucy who runs it is lovely.

Gambados- lovely staff, looked after everything - they made us go down the bigslide though, and tried some balloon modelling which was halarious for the paents who came - not sure who enjoyed it more! soooooooooo much for the kids to do there, and they theme it all and everything - the kids love it - always tricky getting them to leave though and had to resort to bribery - pre warning ha! :D

Hmm, I'm not being funny, but do you really need to go any further than your own home for your child's 1st Birthday?

A few friends and family, some balloons, finger foods for the kids and whatever you fancy for the grown ups and a cake, home made, shop bought or custom made are all any one year old is ever going to need! Your child will not remember this party .....

Give yourself a financial break and don't throw a load of money down the drain on this one. You'll have plenty of fun planning and financing birthday parties for the next 21 years!

Enjoy making this party for your child - have fun!!
