The firemen are heroic - last year I photographed a similar rescue on Tooting Bec pond only that time a fireman crawled across a ladder arrangement laid flat on the ice. The dog recovered very quickly after 15-20mins in the freezing water ( the rescuer seemed ok too!)

Absolutely brilliant, well done lovely firemen! That poor dog probably wouldn't have lasted too much longer.....
