I have the tiny love super mat, which is nice and big and cushioned.

hadn't heard that the ABC ones were toxic! Be interested to hear about that....

I had this one, not from John Lewis though - bought off amazon somewhere. Worked quite well apart from the fact that every little bit of the letters and numbers was a separate piece in itself. So, each number had the number, plus the number written in writing - the writing was pretty small and each little bit (e.g. the middle of an 'o') was it's own piece so it had tiny little pieces that could be pulled out and possibly be choked on - so I'd avoid that style.

Ikea produce much larger jigsaw play mat that doesn't have any numbers or letters on it - it's pretty good I think.....no idea about toxicity

Hi

I use a gym mat that i purchased on line from a store that sold gym equipment. If i can find the name of the shop...then i will let you know. Its thick, but quite heavy if you need to move it around. On the plus side....it's waterproof and wipe clean ;)

Hi,

I am looking for a soft playmat for my 8 months old. She loves sitting on the floor to play but we have wooden floor all around the house and even on the deck patio outside (not that I am thinking to sitting her outside just yet but I am hoping spring will start soon! ;) ). I was looking at the ABC foam mat sold by John Lewis and similar but I read that they are toxic? Does anyone else use something different?
Thank you!
