Hi there! I know just how you feel and finding people and places to go with a very small baby can be hard at first but you will be fine and have a diary full of fun things before you know it.
I felt very similar after my first child was born which is why I started up a singing group.
I don't know if this might be of interest but I am just in the process of restarting my mother and baby singing group; Thula Mama, after the birth of my second child.
The group is well suited to newborns and any baby up until they start to crawl. I teach mums gorgeous songs, lullabies and songs from around the world in beautiful a-cappella harmony. It is a small group, held at my house and no previous singing experience is necessary. I provide tea and biscuits, a supportive atmosphere in which to feed, meet people and nurture your baby. If you fancy finding out more do email me at
jess.thulamama@googlemail.com. Or check out
http://www.thulamama.co.uk to hear a sample of the sorts of things we sing.
Thanks
Jess
