I too used the dishwaher doctor. Perhaps less of a doctor and more of a surgery receptionist, however the cost was a fixed price, I supplied the replacement pump, and he worked for about 10 hours to fix the problem. The drainage pump had failed (very typical fault on Neff, Bosch etc) but the pipe had got blocked probably as the pump was failing. It confused the hell out of the repairer that the pump was working but the DW still wasn't draining... Got there in the end.
I would type in the symptoms into google along with your dishwasher model. If the overall results indicate a main motor failure, throw the dishwasher away as it will not be cost effective to buy a new motor.
