The (relatively) new Korean place Hana on Battersea Rise is excellent too, authentic and one of the best Asian restaurants for miles! Highly recommended.

Such a shame re: Delicat! I was planning to go there with a friend. Anyone knows what will replace it? How about couleurs cafe? Any new business opening there? It's so sad to see these local businesses closing down.

I have to second Bistro Union on Abbeville Road. Stylish and really delicious food. I took my husband for his birthday last week. We sat at the bar- it was a brilliant meal.

The Avalon is a great gastopub as is The Manor Arms in Streatham.

If you are to the south of the Borough (or willing to travel) I really urge you to try the new restaurant in Tooting TOTA when it opens (in November).

I am helping the guys who own it with the interior and branding. Gary, the owner and chef cooks amazing food. I have seen the menus and it is really going to up the game in Tooting, which although great for a Curry, is a culinary wasteland otherwise.

If you are in Battersea then Ben's Canteen is lovely (we have a pop up shop in there). Scrummy food but probably less for families and more young and trendy.

I was going to go to Delicat next week. Agree, what a shame we are losing it.

Delicat on Northcote Road is closing this week. That's a shame, had an interesting menu and enjoyed every time I went there.

Took my in-laws to The Althorp (used to be The Bowler) on Wandsworth Common on Saturday...absolutely amazing food and at reasonable pub prices. Really comfy and great service, apparently new owners. Fantastic burgers - much nicer than Byron and better accoustics!!!

For me it absolutely has to be the Abbeville kitchen on the Abbeville road. Food is superb. Highly recommend their sharing meat dishes - they are out of this world. :D

I forgot to mention Bistro Union on Abbeville Rd, which is also fantastic. It's owned by the same people as Trinity but is more relaxed and quite a lot cheaper. Four 0 Nine in Clapham North is also lovely, as is Tsunami.

Soif is wonderful. Fantastic food and amazing service. Love Chez Bruce too.

Ciullo's in Balham High Road - just wonderful! Great food, great service, always full, rather difficult to get a table.

Entree was the worst service I have ever received in the local area. I could detail it but safe to say given their price point I can go elsewhere for better.

Always had a good time in Soif, Delicat, Trinity & Tom Ilic. Lambert's has had a revamp of late I understand but haven't eaten there recently.

Got to agree with Workingmum62....Trinity in Clapham Old Town is hard to beat and consistently excellent.
