My friend Alice makes lovely cushions for kids. They're really popular for new baby pressies and christenings - she made one for our son when he was born and he loves it!

Hi there,

Actually I used to have the same problem all the time, and feel there are only so many silver trinkets you can buy one person.

I started making personalised patchword baby/children's quilts and playmats for just such an occassion. They are all individually made, and I include the baby's name, a motif of something either they or their parents like. I use gorgeous cotton fabrics in bright colours to suit your taste.

Please take a look at my website it would be such a pleasure to make something for a little someone's special day.

Sorry for blatent advertising but hope it helps some present buying dilemmas.

Amazon do good hardback books like the complete Thomas the Tank Engine or Wind in the Willows quite cheaply.

Hi Stigi

My Son received one of these money pots for his Christening and I thought it was lovely. You can personalise them as well.

Or were you thinking of something religious?

Hello

We're going to a christening in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a christening present? I was wanting to spend between 20 and 30 pounds.... we haven't had our children christening so really don't know what to get.

any ideas greatly appreciated

xx
