LIVE-IN Au-Pair Plus/Mother’s Help needed, c. 40 hrs/week

We are an international couple who lives with our three happy children (G7, B5, G2) in the charming area between Wandsworth Common and Clapham Common, just off the popular Northcote Road. We are currently looking for a committed, caring and resourceful live-in Au-Pair from January 2013 (potentially December 2012) onwards. Ideally you will help mum with both running the household and looking after the kids. Mum only works one day/week and will be at home otherwise (although some flexibility is required here). Our two older children go to a local school, and our youngest will start nursery (three mornings) in January 2013.

Your duties will include:
• Helping mum with the children before and after school, especially with the toddler (e.g. taking her to the playground while mum is doing homework with the older siblings).
• Being sole charge of the children one day/week when mum is at work.
• Occasionally cooking for the children and doing school runs if needed.
• Ideally being in charge of the house (cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing – all at a very high standard). PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS OPTIONAL IN CASE YOU NEED MORE HOURS!
• Babysitting (typically two evenings/week).

Furthermore, we would love you to:
• Be responsible, mature and trustworthy and have common sense
• Have gained several years of experience in a similar role with small children/toddlers
• Have excellent English language skills
• Ensure a long-term commitment (with a minimum of two years)
• Occasionally travel with us
• Have a valid UK/EU work visa and already live in the UK (be available for a face-to-face interview)
• Be a non-smoker

It would be a plus if you were CRB checked and if you had a current first-aid certificate.

You will live in a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and your own kitchen (hob, fridge, microwave) in our brand new basement conversion. There is Wi-Fi and you will have your own TV.

Please send us your full CV, at least two checkable references and your salary expectations in case you are interested in this long-term role.

We are looking forward to hearing from you soon!
