For future, victoriadefty.co.uk can make the most delicious dairy free cakes! My daughters first birthday cake was sublime and no one noticed it was dairy free!!!

Sorry I got to this rather late but I run a little baking business in Balham called Caked, you can check us out on Facebook. We do dairy, gluten and fat free cakes (as well as all the naughty ones!) Or call me on 07799 772785.

Hi
I don't know if you have seen my posting but I am a local mum who is starting up a cupcake business in Earlsfield. I would love to talk to you about your cake. I could make you a small batch of cupcakes or a larger giant cupcake? Here are the kinds of things I do. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss. I am only charging cost price at the moment as I need to build a stock of pictures for my website.
Thanks so much for reading.

Miss Cupcakes in Brixton is vegan, so no dairy or eggs. They also have gluten free options. They are usually at the farmers market in Clapham on Saturdays. They are quite tasty as well.

I make them for my son and just use rapeseed oil or Pure margarine instead of butter .

You can make chocolate icing with Pure and dark chocolate.

Hope this helps.

There's a place on Sheen Lane in East Sheen called Yumshies who make egg/dairy/ gluten free cakes and cupcakes. It has rather erratic hours though so you might try calling in advance.

Alternatively, drop me a message and I'll have a hunt for a recipe - you just need to use coconut oil (sold in the Sainsbury's at North Sheen) instead of butter and then your icing can just be icing sugar and water.
Perhaps you could try the free from section in the supermarket too and ice something on offer there. They have a tonne of stuff now.

Have you tried Deelight Bakery on Ritherdon Road in Balham. Not sure if they do dairy free but they always have a good selection of gluten free so it might be worth giving them a call.

Dairy free cake in Nappy Valley?

by Balham3838 » Wed Jan 02, 2013 10:01 am

Hi
Does anyone know of any bakeries or shops locally that sell dairy free cakes? I need just one little cake or cupcake (just for one person) this weekend. I have phoned a couple of bakeries and they have said they would have to make a large cake to order... I know there's a vegan bakery in Brixton but I don't have time to go all the way there.
Thanks!
