I echo above - the ONLY pram to buy is the Maclaren - I started with a 3in1 but it was bulky, inconvenient and impossible on public transport. Maclaren - you can get on a bus even if there are 2 other buggies as you can fold it one handed and carry it on (okay not brilliant with baby in the other arm, but when its raining and home time it is a god send!). Bugaboos look great and they are THE brand to have on the common but it seems by year 2 most people have caved to a Maclaren so save money and start with one! They are definitely the best option. We have the Maclaren XLR and not one complaint - I reckon even my 8mth old prefers it!

Hi, I have the Bugaboo Cameleon and whilst I am happy with it, I would not say it is that great for public transport... my friends with the Bugaboo Bee have a far easier time!

Get a maclaren! I've been a nanny for 17 years and they are by far the best - neat, easy to get on buses and down narrow isles in shops - you really cant beat them. If a family didn't have one when I arrived I would ask them to get one!

I've got a Chameleon. My daughter is now 11mths. On double decker buses it's easy to get on and down the aisle. On single deckers i usually get on via the back doors and then run and tap my oyster at the front of the bus.

Main frustration for me is waiting for a bus that doesn't already have 2 buggies on it! And also the drivers that see you've got a buggy yet pull up way off the pavement so you have to lift the buggy down then up to get on. Always the male drivers!

Been really happy with mine on the whole - it's still in really good condition. I did find the pram part too big for my little girl - she seemed to roll around in it and i had to pad it out with blankets. She also hated lying down and used to scream everywhere we went - so i ended up changing over to the pushchair when she was 4mths - even though it looked like i was pushing a doll around as she was so small!

My husband and I have been looking at buggies and we really like the bugaboo cameleon, however the back wheels look big and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with using buses with one of these buggies? Are they easy enough to push down the aisle, without getting stuck? Thanks.
