Hello! We had all of our original sash windows refurbed and draught proofed last year by a great guy who was recommended by a friend. If you get it done properly it does cost £250-£300 per window (we also got new brass hooks and catches) and will probably take a day a window, as they're taken out and planed down etc, before being refitted with weatherproof brushes on the inner bits. Our window man was Howard Burford (sp?) from Surrey & South Glassworks (or something similar to that!). You can look him up on Check a Trade - his feedback is v glowing. Good luck! We did spend about £3000 in the end, but it was worth every penny.
