I have also been to Entree recently and had a very good meal. I would certainly recommend it.

Entree also gets my vote every time. Especially the crab lasagne starter.

Trinity in Clapham Old Town is tops locally in our opinion...consistently fabulous food.
Slightly less expensive is Entree on Battersea Rise which we tried for the first time on Saturday night and it was delightful...live pianist's tunes from the bar downstairs drifting up to the restaurant, great staff and I had the venison which was super. We will be back!

Chez Bruce hands down, if you like that sort of food and it's not too expensive. Indian Moments/Indian Room are very good Indian, and a bit posh-seeming (in a nice way). Mien Tay is wonderful. La Pampa used to be good for steaks but I haven't been in ages. Heva a lovely time wherever you do end up going!

Chez Bruce gets my vote every time. Neither my husband nor I can't fault it & their 3 course dinner is amazing value.

Hope you have a lovely evening wherever you go :)

Numero Uno is a winner! I doubt your husband or you will be disappointed :-)
Enjoy yourselves!

Agree that Número Uno and Osteria Bologna are decent Italuans, the latter quieter and friendlier but a bit more drab decor-wise; food decent at both - Número Uno had the edge after recent visits to both.

Bolingbroke good 'posh' gastro fare.

V good for food & atmos is Entree on Battersea Rise - food has been excellent every time I've been.

For something a bit more special, I'd go to Michelin-starred Chez Bruce on Bellevue Rd.

I love Numero Uno, food is always good. If you can go a little bit further then we recently we went to Mien Tay (Vietnamese) on Lavender Hill, the restaurant itself is very basic but the food was absolutely delicious. Trinity in Clapham Old Town is also excellent. Hope you have a lovely evening wherever you go.

Depends on the atmosphere and palate. There's lots of choice. Had a decent meal in The Bollingbroke and the atmosphere was nice and living. I thought Rosita was underwhelming but not over priced. I do quite like Antica Bolonga especially in the winter for hearty food.

However it should be pointed out that I'm no culinary expert and I'm just a cut above being able to burn water!

My husband's treat this year for his birthday will have to be local. Which restaurants of the Northcote Rd would you recommend? Ta
