Many thanks for the responses - Geeves of Belgravia in Wimbledon were v helpful and confirmed around £35 to clean a christening dress. Was all set to take it there, but thankfully tried for size first and my chubby little girl has outgrown it Now on a hunt for another dress....any tips welcome!

My friend took her vintage wedding dress to Jeeves of Belgravia in Wimbledon Village - they do a collection service too and are very experienced in wedding dresses etc - they also have a royal warrant for dry cleaning for HRH prince of Wales too
