Re: Any mums interested in a writing group?

Hi ladies! I'd love to join you too. I co-wrote my first musical last year (about motherhood) but am looking to start something new. Until school starts I have my daughter full time (I'm a single mum) but can usually make childcare work during the day or evening. Once she starts reception day times would be best for me but whatever works for the group.

This is such a great idea - thanks for starting it! Emily x

With people in Balham, Streatham, Clapham South, Clapham Junction, and Tooting Bec - meeting in Wandsworth Town wouldn't be very central. Personally, I'd be just as comfortable at a cafe or pub - maybe somewhere roomy like the Avalon or Devonshire?
I have the baby every morning, but could see how it goes bringing him along....

Hi I have been writing a novel and would like to connect with other female writers. It is could be possible to rent the Quaker Meeting House in Wandsworth Town, for a weekly or bi weekly writers group. I could ask, but it would be a few pounds a head? I was thinking of a morning when my children are at school for a couple of hours, where we could share our work, drink tea and coffee and support each other...

I would definitely be interested in a writing group. I was hoping to finish my first book before the birth of my second son in January, but I didn't quite get there. Now I have lots of ideas for revisions and rewriting, but just have not had the time, space or sleep yet.

I'm based in Tooting Bec, so sounds like a lot of us are in areas close by. I only have the baby on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and would also be open to an evening meet up after bedtime? Other than that, I have both the toddler and the baby as they're not in school yet - and the two of them would definitely not be conducive to any kind of writing group!

Hi all - I'm also hoping to do first novel this year - not sure whether that's realistic but I'm struggling even to do a first chapter which isn't a good sign. What would people like to do - meet for coffee somewhere?

Hey there,
I'm based in Streatham hill and am a writer. Trying to take it more seriously, and make sure I write more consistently so I'm up for a writing group :D

I'm keen to get writing, but having just had a new baby am struggling a little with motivation. Is there any interest from other mums in the Balham area who might fancy meeting up regularly to chat about writing, motivate each other and so on?
