I thought I would post a POSITIVE Review !!!

We have just had some windows replaced and some fixed and draft proofed by the Sash Window Man. We are extremely pleased with the work done - quick, efficient and clean and the new windows seem to be of very high quality.

Very happy to recommend them !

Hi Mungomuffit, did you end up using the Sash Window man ? They have given me a quote and I am thinking of using them so would love to know if you were happy with their work ?

Many thanks !

Hi, I can't comment on value for money, as i don't know how much Sash Window Man costs, but I can vouch for their work. I'm in rented property and they replaced a sash last autumn and i think they did a lovely job. I was very pleased. My contact at my landlord's estate agent said he uses him all the time.

I just wish my other windows needed replacing ;-)

Hello! We had all of our original sash windows refurbed and draught proofed last year by a great guy who was recommended by a friend. If you get it done properly it does cost £250-£300 per window (we also got new brass hooks and catches) and will probably take a day a window, as they're taken out and planed down etc, before being refitted with weatherproof brushes on the inner bits. Our window man was Howard Burford (sp?) from Surrey & South Glassworks (or something similar to that!). You can look him up on Check a Trade - his feedback is v glowing. Good luck! We did spend about £3000 in the end, but it was worth every penny.
