Hello
We are just about to buy a Victorian terrace in a state of disrepair, putting it politely.
The house hasn't had much done to it in quite of few years so still has most of the original features. The problem is that they are all in a bad way.
I would love to keep them but would need to replace, replicate or refurb and am not sure where to start or what it would cost?
Does anyone have any experience on any of the below pls?
Fireplaces: All of the internal grates are rusty and broken. Beautiful surrounding tiles are cracked or very dirty.
Original tiled hallway design: needs careful cleaning and a few tiles replaced.
Original Victorian pine floor boards: need about 12 replaced and them the whole thing sealed and sanded.
Ceiling roses: painted over so many times that the detail has been lost in a mushy clump.
I would be grateful for any pointers!
Thanks
