Somebody living or commuting around to give me an idea?

We applied for some schools in Wandsworth and at the time, until waiting for answers, we are looking around to find a good place to live and good transport service for a reasonable price.

Putney Bridge got my attention for having lots of options of buses plus excelent commercial area, it is a nice place to live?? There are best areas and avoid areas in Putney High Street near Putney Bridge??
