how about St Luke's church hall on Ramsden Road, SW12. There is a big hall where you can have lunch and a smaller hall for the kids/garden. We're using it for our daughter's christening in Sept!

Recommendations for christening party venue

We're planning to get our baby christened next spring. Although it's only for immediate family and godparents, as that'll still involve 20 adults and 12 kids from crawling babies to late teens, we feel our house is too small to cope with a lunch gathering afterwards. Ideally we want somewhere with outside/garden space where the kids can play, so are thinking we'll probably have to drag everyone out of London to either of the grandparents houses. However if anyone has any bright ideas of somewhere suitable that would be available to hire on a Sunday lunchtime I'd love to hear from you. (Bars/restaurants/gastro-pubs tend to have rooms for hire, but not the kind of outdoor space we'd ideally like, and would also charge for catering, when we'd be just as happy to provide our own, which'd obviously avoid too much further expense.)
Many thanks!
