My friend's have one in their back garden. They have a woodburning stove in it so it's really cosy. They use it as an office (and an escape from kids!). I think the previous poster is right - would the kids really use it? How about a much smaller (and cheaper) playhouse?

I have friends who spent around £6k putting a room at the end of their garden. For them it was the best money they spent as the husband is doing a phd and writing a book and so it gives him some peace and quiet to do his work during the day and allows him to have a strict routine.

However, I'm not sure it would get much use as a playroom? Would the kids not just be constantly back and forth into the house?

Anyone have a garden room?

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a garden room to be used by the kids (5 & 2) as a playroom and also to house a piano for music lessons.

Has anyone installed one AND found it useful?

My former neighbours had one and it ended up as an incredibly expensive shed!

Thanks!
