We go to the tennis courts on Clapham Common (at the top of Nightingale Lane) and then it moves to the leisure centre in Balham after half term.

Thanks everyone!

Tillyandmoo - where did you do Playball? We tried the Earlsfield one held at the Spencer Lodge in Wandsworth. They said it's too disruptive to have parents on the sidelines as it "distracts" the children and they get more out of it when parents aren't around - maybe it was just that group!

We'll definitely look into the other activities - I'm going on mat leave with number two in a few months time and we'll all need lots to keep us occupied and meeting new people!

We too tried ruggerbeez at 2 but our DS was a bit young, my husband thought it was better suited to 3+ years so we will try again next year.

Have you tried gymboree at the Vitality Centre in Southfields?

hi

my son attends Playball classes and I'm really surprised that you've been sent to the 'clubhouse'. When i take my son I stand at the edge of the court and he runs to me during activities and I cheer him on etc. I love watching him and he loves me watching him. His coach is really lovely and my son cannot wait to go to the class each week

He used to do Little Kickers but his age group were always indoors and he's more of an outdoors boy. He enjoyed it in part but nowhere near as much as Playball. He also did a trial class at Ruggerbeez but he had just turned 2 at the time and it was freezing cold outside and I think he found the class a bit too long and got tires. He was also the youngest in the class by a long way. Saying that, at 3 I'm sure he'd love it now.

Good luck finding a class for your daughter!

If your looking for great interacting classes that I can highly recommend Artful Toddler. Not sure if they're fully booked for this term as they get full quite quickly.

Playball is great for building confidence.

Hi mums/dads

My little girl just turned two the end of August and we are now looking for a physical/running around type of class to replace Fruity Tunes or similar activities.

We tried a week of Playball, which seemed fairly well run, but didn't like the fact that I had to just drop her off and sit in the clubhouse (pretty far removed from the action!) - I only have one day off a week I wanted to find something that we could do together, or at least watch and cheer from the sidelines! Can't see her dealing well with me just leaving her alone either :)

I've heard good things about Ruggerbeez and Little Kickers, but wondered if anyone had any strong opinions either way!

Thanks :)
