The large church on Poynders Road behind Clapham South distributes clothes at the Food Bank - which is for people referred by social services as in dire need… they also run a mother and toddler playgroup for people who are disadvantaged. Every time I have dropped things off they have been so so incredibly grateful. With the clothes if people don't want them after a while the Food bank will weigh them and distribute them elsewhere and give them a set amount of money according to the weight which is then changed into more food for them to distribute so nothing seems to be wasted……

I attend Mass at St. Vincent de Paul's church up on Altenburg Gardens and they made an announcement just this past Sunday that the St. Vincent de Paul Society was in need of 2nd hand baby clothes to give to a mother who is due this month. If you still have the clothing, please let me know and I'll call them to see if they need it and then arrange to have it collected for you.

This goes for anyone who might have extra baby items.

I take my old clothes and shoes to St Marks church, they work with a local charity and least I know someone will get some use out of them. The amount of times i've seen Fara throw perfectly useable items into recycling(not sure where they go) because they have a slight mark.

Every time my daughters grow out of their clothes I have a pile I can take to a charity shop but also a pile slightly too worn to resell but which I'm sure could be very useful to someone if I could give them away for free to a charity. In light of the Phillapines disaster I can't bear to just throw them away when there are people starting with nothing.

Does anyone know of anywhere that could reuse them?
