Hi,

I worked at Dulwich Prep for 11 years and loved it(from a teacher’s perspective and saw lots of boys thriving and enjoying the experience).

I drove from Clapham South which took about 20 minutes in the morning and about 30 minutes at the end of the day.

There is also a school bus which does lots of pick ups around South London.

Newton Prep, ecole d Battersea or Dulwich prep

Advice much appreciated.

Trying to decide where would be the best fit for our energetic son.
My husband is French and I English, and our son has been at a French nursery locally.

My husband is very pro ecole d Battersea based on his previous experience with my step children, yet I loved my time at prep and then day school in Dulwich.

Newton Prep seems well rounded academically and importantly has good sporting facilities and so I thought would be a good fit locally, while French schools have a good academic standings and leaves open a possible move to Europe post Brexit.

Yet, I simply loved Dulwich prep when picking up friends children, there was a definite feeling and the space was fantastic. but of course our son would face a significant daily commute and would lose the daily French aspect.

I guess my question is, has anyone done the commute to Dulwich daily? Out nanny would have to drive him. Or am I ignoring an obvious alternative locally?
Secondly, do any bilingual families have thoughts on the French Vs English system at prep stage.

Thanks in advance
