Re: Seeking tutor

Unless you are preparing him for a particularly difficult test or he is really behind on his targets you really don't need a tutor at 5. You can achieve the same on your own even if you feel you don't have the confidence or skills to help your child. There are many resources out there you can use and you can put the rest of the money you would have spent in an ISA for the child. Try Twinkl, used by many schools even independent schools. Maths Whizz (also used by many independents) for really good maths help. The Schofield and Sims books also used by schools are arranged according to age and they come with answers.
PM me if you think I can help you.

The thing is that on a public forum people are perfectly entitled to respond by asking you for an opinion.  It seemed a pretty reasonable question .........

Hi there,

As a qualified teacher I run Young Giants, a tutoring agency working with fully vetted and child-centred tutors.
All of our tutors are trained and supervised by qualified teachers and some of them are qualified teachers who tutor after school.

If you'd like to discuss your requirements with us we can find the best tutor match and arrange a trial session to see if you and your son feel the match is right?

Please do contact Ailsa, our coordinator, she'll be really happy to help.

info@younggiants.co.uk

I hope we hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

Jaime

Seeking tutor

by Zowgli » Tue Feb 25, 2020 10:35 am

Hi all,

I am looking for a tutor for my five year old son. We are based in Vauxhall and would like after school timings.

Please could you message me with your experience and availability.

No Time wasters please, many people put up adverts on here to tutor but then when contacted they either have hardly any availability or don’t bother responding.

Thanks
