We are looking for a housekeeper to join our friendly, busy family with three teenage children based near Wandsworth Common from May.
Working hours are 2-6 pm, Monday to Friday, and 2-11 pm every other Thursday (22.5 hours average per week).
Our children have had some health issues, so we are looking for someone who is very kind and empathetic to support us, and this would ideally be a long-term role. You will also need to be a driver, and we are looking for someone reliable and with initiative and good English.
The role will involve:
Children:
Being a friendly presence at home for the children after school: chatting about their days, reminding them to do homework, supervising play dates.
Occasional school pick-ups in our car (1-2 x per month).
Regular once fortnightly babysitting on Thursday evenings (some additional babysitting available by agreement).
Animals:
Pet care including daily dog walk.
Household:
Weekly changing and laundry of children’s bedding.
Making/preparing supper 1-2 x per week.
General tidying - no cleaning is usually required, as we have a cleaner, but we would be grateful for light cleaning during our cleaner’s holidays.
Watering plants.
Ironing.
Helping with online grocery shopping, top up shopping, errands (e.g. taking dry cleaning).
Minor repairs, e.g. darning and sewing name tapes into school uniform, changing batteries, light bulbs, etc.
Liaising with handymen.
Taking cars for MOT, service, etc and collecting.
Please get in touch by DM if you are interested.
