The tube to Wembley is the best way to get there. People go at different times so the crowd is spread out.
BUT DON’T WAIT with the HUGE crowd to get on the tube on the way back. There is a rail station on the other side of the stadium with trains to Marylebone Station. Take that then change to the tube in Marylebone.
Our group who all live in the same neighbourhood divided into two groups - one group went with the huge crowd in the tube. Another group, including me, had a round of drinks in the pub nearby then took the rail to Marylebone. We got home one hour before the tube group.
