This could be the answer to LTNs and even the government for those that do not agree!
If enough people go via a solicitor as a class action group and ask for a vote of no confidence in the council (could be 30% of local electors?) then a by election must be called! As soon as the council see this is being done with enough votes the LTN will be dropped as councilors will lose their jobs, and with it money paid! I am sure there is a local solicitor that will do this at cost fed up with being caught up in traffic jams.Other councils could be brought to heel by the same methods.Would even work for the government on a larger scale and have a general election called.

The six month suspension of the Streatham Wells LTN ends this Friday and councillors are reportedly planning to reintroduce it. Nooooo!!!!

This is terrible news as it caused absolute traffic chaos on Streatham High Road and surrounding roads, with ambulances unable to respond to emergency calls, children massively late for school who take the bus and traffic displacement elsewhere, such as vehicles stacked all the way up Bedford Hill from the Balham High Road.

If you object to the scheme restarting, email rwilliams@lambeth.gov.uk and copy in trafficorders@lambeth.gov.uk before Friday 20 September.

Here's an article about it:
