Hi,

So sorry to hear about your experience, but you've taken a huge step acknowledging the problem and looking to get help.

The Birth Trauma Association are a fantastic charity set up to help people just like you. You can get help by email, and there is also a link to accredited counsellors who deal specifically with birth trauma.

Best of luck getting the support you need and I hope it really helps you start to get past this.

I'm sorry to hear about your birth trauma.

Have you considered hypnotherapy? Wissam Awad is very good at helping you to deal with emotional trauma. Check out his website:

I really hope you get the help you need soon.

I'd massively recommend the Women's Therapy Centre. They see you for two assessment sessions, then match you with a therapist they think would work well for you and who is based sufficiently near where you live or work.

Hi there,
When I was suffering from PND I found an amazing place called the Anna Freud centre. It's up in Hampstead so it was a bit of a trek, but worth it. I received free counselling sessions for me, my partner and my baby.
They are a charity specialising in family counselling and issues related to babies and children.
Worth a try.
I really hope you start feeling better soon
xx

Hi,

I can recommend you look into a private medical practice: Wilbraham Place Practice just off Sloane Street. They have great counsellors/psychotherapists/psychologists who specialize in marital issues, also there is a lady who works there: Annie Reed Henderson who specializes in birth/child issues as well as couple counselling.

Do give them a call and ask to speak to Marianne who is the Practice Manager and can point you in the right direction.

They are very discreet and highly confidential.

Good luck! :)

Counsellor reccomendations?

I'm looking to go and see someone about a birth trauma that I went through that I still just can't overcome, as well as this me and my husband are having relationship problems. I need to take some pressure off my head and for someone to help me view things in a different light.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for counsellors etc?

Thankyou.
