Hi, I would suggest you get Ofsted registered to be honest, you will have to be CRB checked, complete a course as you don't have much experience, get insurance and do a 1st aid course. Be prepared to take a lower paid job maybe as a mothers help? I started out when I was 16 as mothers help and am still a nanny after 29 years. Hope that helps x

How can I get full time a nanny job?

Hi,

I'm trying to find a nanny job around south west London. I've posted on here before and I've had a lot of response in terms of after school work but I need a full time job and now i'm wondering if people could give me advice on where i could advertise or what parents want from a full time nanny.
I admit that with all the nannies out there i don't really stand out. I have 2 years experience with children between the ages of 3-10 and with babysitting between the ages of 2-14 but I don't drive which means that most agencies would not take me on.
I could try to advertise in nurseries but because I don't have a CRB check, im worried they wont take me on.
I can offer references from various families and i am more than willing to get a crb check ( ive just never had the opportunity to).
Any advice people could give would be helpful and if anyone knows of any families that may need my services please contact me.
Thank you for reading this.
