Muller Designs seems to have dissolved. Can anyone suggest any other companies they have used recently to sand, stain and gap-fill the floorboards in our sitting room? Many thanks

Bit late to the party, but we just had our whole place sanded by Simon Weller and I wanted to post a recommendation.

He totally transformed our old Victorian floorboards, which were black with dirt and broken in many places. They now look stunning and not a gap in sight.

Juno Glass in Lydden Road just off Garrett Lane are good for glass cutting. We had a large mirror cut to size for our bathroom for under £100 I think.

I can second the recommendation for Morne muller. He fitted solid oak boards downstairs and sanded, gap filled and stained all of our upstairs boards. They look like new. He does proper gap filling with strips of wood, not the resin which tends to break down more quickly.

Hi,
My name is lee I am a local Handyman / painter. I am currently sub contracting for a local mirror and glass company (fitted mirror and glass) in Brixton. They have a very easy to use web site and they also come to your home and template.

I'd be happy to help out or contact them directly.

Many thanks

Lee

Thank you so much for the responses. I assume London Wood is http://www.londonwood.com/ ?

If anyone else has any recommendations, I would love to hear them.

Thanks
Katie

We've used London wood for floors on two occasions & they are great. Very good price & fast, clean & efficient. Their machines have a vaccume function so hardly any dust. Was a different matter when hubby & I DIYd it back in our youth

For mirrors we've used balham glass, also on 2 occasions, and would say that they are also good & reasonable.

I can't help re the mirrors (although I too would like some recommendations on that).

However, re the floors, I can recommend Morne Muller
www.mullerdesign.co.uk
Mobile: 07720 384 538

He is reasonably priced, does excellent work and is local to SW17.

Please could anyone recommend:

- someone to sand and stain some wooden floorboards

- someone to template and cut some mirrors to size (for a bathroom wall)?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
