Pamper yourself hun. You need not have a big party to enjoy your big day. A spa day with your girlfriends would be a brilliant idea. No need to pressure yourself with planning, go where your feet want to take you on your day.

Hi there - this was me earlier this year, I was 8 months pregnant with number 3 when I had my 40th birthday. I decided given that if I was to have a party I would want to wear a nice dress and have a drink or two (!!), that I'd postpone the idea of a party (I actually have another friend who had an amazing 41st party a year later). So I spent the day at the spa having pregnancy treatments, followed by a special dinner with my husband. I also had an afternoon tea with girlfriends in London. It wasn't the big do that perhaps I thought I'd have, but it was all lovely and I felt spoilt rotten. We're planning a long weekend away next year too, so in a way the birthday fun just keeps on rolling! Being that pregnant is also a great distraction from any impending mid life crisis!! Have fun and enjoy yourself x

Yes,.. I have been planning for the big 40th party for every, looking for venues, talking about it with my friends, full of excitement and expectation. And I happen to be 8 months pregnant, and will be 9 months pregnant on the big day.
I am very happy about my pregnancy but a bit emotional about not doing anything for this day, I feel I wont enjoy a big party and I dont have the energy to plan much more than my next meal with Zantac...
What would you do? Any ideas?
