Thurleigh road surgery has highest proportion of children registered in S London - all the female GPs there have paediatric and/ or obs and gynae background.
They are an NHS practice but run a small private practice alongside.diffetence would be speed of getting an appointment and choice of doctor- though unwell children are always prioritised.

Hi
Private GP in Sloane St Area is Dr Peter King Lewis. Good with children but maybe out of your area. Otherwise The Portland Hospital has good pediatricians but also private.

We see children at London medical on Marylebone Rd. Our main area is diabetes/endocrinology but we will see general patients as well. No vaccinations but that service is well run on the NHS.

Do you mean you want to go private and pay for it yourself?

We used these Italian doctors a couple of times: http://www.dottorelondon.com/doctors/
They also do house visits.

Of course there are lots of pediatricians on Harley street, but they are even more expensive.

Thanks, really appreciate the advice. I'm not American, but prefer the system there!

Not sure where you're based, but Ban Haider at Haider Practice on St John's Hill is very good. She's a "normal" GP but specialises in children, including running a weekly baby clinic.

Hi - are you American by any chance? Just asking because I know America has specialist docs like pediatricians, obs/gyn etc that you can visit without a referral but it doesn't work like that here. You have to go through a GP.

Hi, I'm new to the area and I need a recommendation for a great paediatrician or kids' GP for my kids, thanks! I live off Northcote road.
