Re: moving out of London

Hello - we dragged (because we adored SW11) ourselves out of London 3 years ago but in fact, it has been great. Lots of things I miss about London but only from time to time and it's easy to visit London from where we are in Hampshire (56 mins on the train) What I have enjoyed is discovering all sor...

Re: Right royally ripped-off or just out of touch?

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago but with a difference that my boiler couldn't be repaired so I had to buy a new one but similarly, it took ten minutes to conclude this. The engineer said he wanted his supervisor to come round to double check some answers to questions I had asked (to do wi...

Re: Half naked man in woman's clothes right or wrong?

I was saying to a friend recently that one of the things we miss about living in NVN is the eclectic sights (I mentioned him/ her as the example!) that my children would see but not think unusual. Whereas now, they would stare at anyone they perceived to be unusual. Interesting to have a variety of ...

Re: 2 burglaries on Salcott Road!

Hi - there may have been a similar comment previously but just in case this is useful, both my husband and I have prey software on our laptops. Doesn't prevent them from being stolen but prevents the thief being able to access the data, the laptop / device can be tracked and will take photos via the...

Re: Local IT Support Company For Small Business

Hi, my husband and I run an IT company supporting small and medium size businesses in SW and parts of central London. I won't put the name otherwise too much of a shameless plug and really you want a recommendation from someone else! If you are interested, send me a message and I will give you our w...

Re: Breastfeeding in public, what cover to use

Just had a quick look at your website which looks great and the covers look lovely, my own view is that a photo or perhaps even better, a little video clip of a mum demonstrating how to use it would be helpful as although your descriptions are thorough, personally I would want to see it in action be...

Re: Ten Pilates

I've been to a few studios in London and (in my opinion) Pepilates was the best. They have very focused training for their instructors, new equipment and it's clean!!

Re: Your opinions please!!..

I have a friend who had to resort to standing in their office (it's somewhere in London) until they agreed to swap parts / fix the problems. A lot of hassle but they had to deal with the issue quite quickly that way! Not that I think that excuses the poor customer service that you report. Not easy f...

Re: Fertility clinics

swayam2003 - I just wanted to put a note to say that unless there has been a specific research study into the use of steroids during IVF and the subsequent health / development of an infant, I personally think that it is not that helpful for any health professional to suggest that there may be long ...

Re: Can't wear my wedding rings after breast feeding

A friend of mine became allergic to platinum - she thought wouldn't be possible but seems it can! She had her rings dipped in something to coat them and then she could wear them again. I'm not sure what it was- probably worth a google.

Re: Sweep and induction - advice needed please

Hi, I can see why you would be anxious about having a sweep 8 days before the induction as that seems like quite a gap but equally, it can take a few days to get things going! I think that with any labour question, the result is always unknown until you are there in the situation mainly because we a...
