Re: Dog rescued from ice in Battersea Park - video

The firemen are heroic - last year I photographed a similar rescue on Tooting Bec pond only that time a fireman crawled across a ladder arrangement laid flat on the ice. The dog recovered very quickly after 15-20mins in the freezing water ( the rescuer seemed ok too!)

Last year two of my neghbours had major work done. We were given due warning and the noise was pretty horrendous along with builders vehicles causing disruption. Heating appliances wanted!

Due to my old boiler breaking down I am hoping to beg or borrow any radiator or heater to keep the cold at bay. Don't want to spend a great amount as the new boiler will take any cash going.

Leather dining chairs need repair

I inherited my father's dining room furniture, made in 1950's to a mock tudor design. Actually very good reproduction in solid oak and hide leather. Probably due to central heating and old age the leather needs either repair or replacement, can anyone make a recommendation please?

Serif software on offer

I recently bought on spec a 'bundle' from Serif. I really only wanted Page Plus x 5 as it's a desktop publishing upgrade I really like using.
