Re: Aggressive cold callers

We were visited by a horribly aggressive Abel & Cole salesman last week. He put a foot up by the the door to stop me closing it despite the crying baby in the background. I was actually quite upset by the whole thing. I know some areas of Lambeth are 'no cold call zones'. Is this something Wands...

Re: Help! Qantas has 2 yr old is sitting on their own

So sorry that you have experienced such bad service. For starters (unless rules have changed) you should have been able to book the baby's flight and bassinet before birth. We certainly did with our son - travelling the same route as you. He was booked under the name Infant [surname] and then update...

Re: How to send a parcel to South Africa?

I sent a scarf and CD to Australia last week. Weight was 0.5kg. £10.60, so I'm afraid that might be right.

Re: Baby Room on Balham High Road - Advice needed

I'm afraid I have to be a dissenting voice on this. (With a heavy heart as it used to be great...) Our child attended Baby Room for a significant period, but standards have fallen off a cliff so we have changed nursery (along with several others). The key issue seems to be absolute lack of investmen...

Re: Loft bathroom - saniflo?

Hello

We have used a saniflo to put in a downstairs loo under our stairs. The unit has blocked once because DD flushed baby wipes (not many - it is quite sensitive) and it is relatively noisy on flushing and as the system clears a little while after use but the noise is not constant or too frequent.

Re: childminder in Balham

Hi Pinky! Do you still have places? We are looking fr a childminder for our two year old from September. At first full time and then moving to part time when she starts nursery next year. I am expecting a baby at Christmas so we will also need full time childcare for him or her from May next year. B...

Re: Balham fourth best place to live in London

Years ago we would never venture down this far from where we lived as children near Wandsworth Common. Even 15 years ago when I lived in Clapham South, Balham was considered a no-go! All very different these days!

Re: Balham fourth best place to live in London

I'd imagine it has something to do with two excellent schools in Henry Cavendish and Ravenstone, good pubs (inc. The Bedford for its comedy, and The Clarence, Grove) and restaurants (Harrison's, Lamberts, Gazette), lovely cafes and bakeries (Trinity Store, Milk), a Bikram Yoga centre, Aveda spas, go...
