Regular gardener

Does anyone have a regular gardener they could suggest to me at a reasonable rate? I really only need once a month for a few hours and the companies that have responded are asking silly rates.

Thank you

Re: Open letter on possible Bolingbroke school

thank you both for clearing that up. I know the Forthbridge site is a separate issue but if the issue is local schools for local children, surely that should apply across the borough and not only apply to the Free School. If it is unfair for someone who lives further away to get in because FB, for e...

Re: Open letter on possible Bolingbroke school

I am no clearer as to the distance/feeder yummydaddy. Does anyone know the answer. Once the percentage of pupils and therefore numbers for each feeder is clear, is priority to the those in the feeder who live nearer the feeder or nearer the Academy? Also, some people on the Forthbridge road site for...

Re: Open letter on possible Bolingbroke school

Ps, I wonder if someone could clarify the distance thing? Is it that if your child is in a feeder, the priority for those in the feeder is distance from the feeder or from Bolingbroke?

Re: Open letter on possible Bolingbroke school

If the new school had banding and a longer list of feeders that included Falconbrook at least, surely that would ensure a more diverse entry? I have seen many posts about local schools for local children but yet, if you are at HW and have moved a distance away once your child is in, you could still ...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

readytopop I think it is true that the feeder school policy just feeds the frenzy of getting into BV and HW and if the council precedent of satellites carries on, who knows how far away the next site will be for BV. The whole thing needs some rethinking from grass roots level. See today's Observer f...

Re: What do you pay a cleaner?

I was looking at another post about nanny bonus. I pay my cleaner £10 an hour and give her a week's pay at Xmas and a week's pay in the summer hols as a bonus. We all get holiday pay from our work on a minimum of 4 weeks, perhaps 2 weeks is not a lot? What do others think about holiday pay/Xmas pay...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

Schoolgatesmum, have found the article and clearly is not the open letter  silly me! Just a thought about Highview, a school that is not oversubscribed, I guess if it is a feeder it might become another school of choice for BTC? I imagine the same would happen to Falconbrook if it were included...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

I must have misread it, I thought it was the open letter. I admit it did seem a bit more sedate than I would have expected from the Mirror! How do I see the article, could not find an attachment? Mind you, the Mirror might like some of the posts on this thread

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

It was an open letter signed by individuals, was it not? Not an article by a Mirror journalist. The content of the letter appears to fairly sum up the views and concerns of those not in favour of the school. Why don't the pro school people do the same and set out their arguments? That would get it m...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

doleofficedad, I give up, there is no point in posting on this thread to be met with the sort of comments you make, misquotes, misrepresentation etc. I agree with union member, you are simply being derogatory and such I find you totally lacking in any credibility. I also agree with union member abou...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

I do agree with schoolgatesmum that if the school were really needed that using the building makes sense, no doubt about that. I guess it is the feeder schools part that is just wrong. Doleofficedad you make my point beautifully, you are rude, suggest people need things dumbed down whilst all the ti...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

Sorry, forgot to add one thing. Not everyone is motivated by "petty envy". I live near enough to one of the feeder schools to be almost sure of getting a place for a child at the Academy but it does not alter my view that it is fundamentally unjust. And sorry again, yummydaddy, you are not...

Re: Anyone else get harangued outside Northcote Library today?!

Wow, yummydaddy, do you speak to people in normal life the way you speak on this site, do you not preview your posts? Do you not ask someone to read them to put a check on rude and patronising behaviour. You speak to anyone outside your camp as if they are stupid! Anyway, I posed a question nicely a...
