Re: Cleaner needed around Northcote Rd

We use a small company called Top Cleaning and I'm very happy with them. The owner, Ela, first comes round to take a look at the house and your requirements. The charge is 9pounds/hour. Most cleaners are Polish and they really do a great job! Ela's telephone number is 07888676059.

Re: Drop in/ PAYG activities for a 2 year old

There's a lovely playgroup in St Michaels Church, Cobham Close (off Northcote Road). It's on Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 9.30 till 11.30. They have an arts corner, soft play for babies, messy play and change the toys for the toddlers weekly (trains/dinosaurs/trampoline/dolls house/building br...

Re: Mountain Buggy Duet

Hi Gillak I used to have a mountain buggy (single one), but bought a double P&T Sports buggy when my second baby was due. The difference in comfort is sooooo big, I don't like the P&T at all. The mountain buggy is so manouvrable and flexible, it will be a pleasure to go walking believe me! A...

Re: Babyroom on Webbs Road?

Dear mums, Our son has been going to BabyRoom on Webbs Road since last year. After a couple of months of settling in (he was used to be with me 5 days a week), he now really enjoys going and has made some good friends. We're no native English speakers and the staff were really dedicated in this matt...

Re: Portable potty: recommendations?

Damn, just this morning I bought a "My Carry Potty" at Jojomamanbebe, but... it's too small!! Can you imagine that! There's just no space for his little willy to go into the potty.. So I guess the Potette would have been a better option. Can I ask how much your children weigh? My son weigh...

Portable potty: recommendations?

Hi mums, We just started potty training our son and think that a portable potty would be a good investment. I was wondering if some of you have any experience with the "My carry potty" which folds into a briefcase or "Potette" for which you need liners. I'm a bit worried about th...

How to get a 1 month old baby into the Gina Ford routine?

Hi mums, Our baby boy is currently 1 month old and I tried to get him into the Gina Ford routine as from when he was born. However, I gave up as it made me soooo nervous: he wasn't hungry when the book told he "should be", I couldn't keep him awake when I had to (following the rules) etc. ...

Re: How to have a second-hand buggy cleaned professionally?

I once read a post that you can hand in your buggy at Peppermint in Northcote Road and then Buggy Pitstop picks up the buggy and fixes/cleans it.

Re: Is Gina Ford's "Contented baby with toddler" worth it?

Hi mums, Thanks for all your responses, really appreciate it! The "with toddler book" is already on its way, hope I'll find the time to read it :) I don't have the original book and haven't used a 'guideline' book with my first child and he slept through the night at 8 weeks, but they alwa...

Is Gina Ford's "Contented baby with toddler" worth it?

Hi there, I'm due of our second baby in a couple of weeks and have a 2 year old toddler at home. I just read some reviews of Gina Ford's 'Contented baby with toddler' book and was wondering whether some of you have also read it and have (good/bad) experiences with it? The book promises a happy baby ...

Re: Potty training: which potty would you recommend?

Just reread your post, you probably have the one with the high back as there is a separate potty in it which you can take out :-) Thanks again!

Re: Potty training: which potty would you recommend?

Hi supergirl,

Thanks for the reaction. Just read some other recommendations on internet and it seems that the Babybjorn potty and toilet seat are quite popular! Just wondering whether you have the potty with the high or low back?

Potty training: which potty would you recommend?

Dear mums, My son is almost turning two and I'm thinking of starting potty training. I was wondering which potty you have and if you would recommend it (or not). I bought an Ikea one a couple of months ago, but that just seems to small for my boy!! I'm looking for a potty that won't stick to his bum...

Re: Did you have a double buggy with a newborn and two year old?

A double mountain buggy would have been my first choice (now have a single one), but it doesn't fit our car... Buying a new car would be a bit too expensive, so we'll have to do with the P&T ;)
