I can second that - we've used Gerry for 13 years and our cat never shows any sign of stress about our leaving him - not even that typical sulky cat routine when we get home.

My grandma always put balls to keep moths away from your woolen clothes in her garden. I don't know if they're effective, but it could be worth trying!
I have to advise against this one, as not only are they toxic (fatally so) for the cats but they are also toxic to humans, particularly littlies.
