Re: 5th wedding anniversary gift ideas

Just done this myself. I went on NotontheHighStreet and searched under Wood for lots of lovely ideas. In the end though I went for wood chips and a smoker for the BBQ and a wood turning course which resulted in a beautiful wooden bowl for me!

Re: Party bags and supplies

No, we wanted to set up a craft in a box subscription company but in the end the research we did showed people weren't willing to pay for it. There was lots of talk of parties though and how they'd buy for parties/ big playdates. Hence looking into the party supplies idea.

Re: Party bags and supplies

When I was looking into this area I had Mums ask for pre wrapped pass the parcels as they hated the late night last minute wrapping and forgetting layers etc.

3 car seats and a CRV

The "expert" at Mothercare has just informed me that they don't sell any car seats that would fit my 2003 CRV - 3 across but I feel I should at least investigate this a bit more before buying a new car... We need to fit a 3.5yr old, 2 yr old and baby across the back as it's not possible to...

Re: Dairy free cake in Nappy Valley?

There's a place on Sheen Lane in East Sheen called Yumshies who make egg/dairy/ gluten free cakes and cupcakes. It has rather erratic hours though so you might try calling in advance. Alternatively, drop me a message and I'll have a hunt for a recipe - you just need to use coconut oil (sold in the S...

Re: which Phil and Teds?

We have a Dash P&T which we've had 3 1/2 years (2 kids and ready for the next) and all that has gone wrong so far is the odd puncture. We use it everyday on rough terrain in the park so it's had a fair bit of use. We chose the Dash on the advice of the experts at the A3 Baby Barn - an out of tow...

Re: To vaccinate or not?

Pregnant myself I did my own research after reading your post and I'm of the opinion not to. Whilst I totally appreciate the risks and how terrible whooping cough is and I don't deny this in any way, I do not feel that what has been suggested has been properly investigated. I contacted a private imm...

Re: Best buggy for dog walking??

I walk with a Phil and Teds, easy to wheel with two kids in it, 1 handed whilst holding the lead with the other. A single push handle is best for dog walking really. Not ideal for lightweight though.

Re: What amazing new things do people do?

This is really inspirational guys, thank you. I have the idea but am just struggling to get the time to put it in place . I wondered how people made it work? I'm thinking I really need the help of an Au-pair if I'm going to make a go of it and invest some proper time in it. Is this what others have ...

Update - Beware seduction by a traffic warden

I heard today that my parking ticket has been cancelled after Wandsworth council looked into the matter. Yay. Thank you so much to everyone for their support. Clearly turning up in person really helps to ensure your point is heard.

Re: Beware seduction by a traffic warden

Thanks for the support everyone, my sister suggested a trip to the Town Hall first thing this morning so I've been and managed to state my case and fill in a report. The council employee used the expression WOW so one assumes she genuinely believed me and fingers crossed they look into him and he co...

Beware seduction by a traffic warden

This afternoon I was seduced by a parking attendant. Alas it wan't as great as it sounds. I went to park outside the dentist near Cupcake in Putney but on noticing a parking suspension bay sign I pulled up to read the date. Where upon a parking attendant who was on his bike by the bay, ushered me in...

Re: Private Midwife for Home Birth

We used Annie and Tina too and they are truly fabulous and will inspire you with confidence. My first birth was not very nice at hospital, my second birth was actually fine and delivered at home, i couldn't have done without Annie and Tina.

Re: I think I've wreaked my marriage. Can anyone help.

Ok, first of all stop beating yourself up honey and secondly, do not go and pick up the kids drunk. Get out your phone and text friends to collect and look after for a few hours whilst you get yourself together. Everything seems a lot worse when drunk and more than likely you haven't wrecked your ma...
