Re: Breast Augmentation

I did have a boob job 8 years ago and I am over the moon with it. It really increased my self-image and my husband is so happy too. We did very extensive reasearch into types of implants (cohesive gel cannot leak), shape ( pear looks much more natural) and size (you can try with old stockings filled...

Re: Should I stay or go? Advice needed on Councillors

Dr Shadi Shahnavaz is a wonderful therapist, she works with individuals, family and couples. She has helped me enormously personally and in my marriage. I hope she - or anyone you will chose to see - will help you find the clarity you are after. I was very dubious initially but I truly think she ch...

Re: Thermomix worth it?

I've had it for 18 months now and I absolutely adore it, I use it every single day and it has made my life so so much easier - I even bought a second one to be able to make two recipes at the same time (second on eBay though, not new, I am not that mad). I has cut my prep time massively and I do muc...

Re: Rhinoplasty advice please

We are so similar here... I had exactly the same problem and it took me 28 years to sort it out - I am so happy I did, two years ago. Most people don't notice it, it looks so perfectly natural! Dr Bassim Matti on Harley Street, he is a rhinoplastry genius in my view and such good advice of what is f...

Re: Recommendations for music classes for older children

Maybe you could try and teach him an instrument through the Suzuki method? A few month ago there was a testimony in the Suzuki newsletter from a parent of an autistic child and it was amazing - he basically learned to play the violin from a very young age, even though it was a bumpy process (as with...

Re: Princess Yaiza - Recommendations?

I love Princessa Yaiza!!! Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food. We have been there three times on the recommendation of a Spanish friend. We did the two bed family suite with two children and I would strongly recommend it against the other option (we did stay in the main hotel too but without ki...

Re: Sexism in the City - what did you think of the article?

Thanks guys for all these thoughts. In answer to EHMorris - I had 4 children, very short maternity leaves for number 1 and 2 and not promotion issues then- I respectively took 5 and 1-month maternity leaves so maybe that helped. It's from number 3 that things got wrong, so by number 4 I just did not...

Re: what laundry hamper do you use?

After much research I now use the large Reisenthel laundry baskets (60cm tall) and they are great, big capacity and very lightweight with handles to carry around the house if needed, nice variety of colours, I found them on Amazon but google around for prices.

Re: May half term - looking for inspiration

I would strongly recommend Princessa Yaiza in Lanzarote, they have family suites with tiny kitchen, a number of pools including paddling, great on site restaurants, a fantastic spa for the grown ups and a kids club, although unsure whether would be open for May half term. They are also just off the ...

Sexism in the City - what did you think of the article?

I would be very interested to know what the NappyValley mummies thought of the "Sexism in the City" article published in the FT Weekend Magazine. Having left the City myself after ten years of very hard work, I read it with interest but was fascinated to find out it missed quite a bit of t...

Re: Grey hair

I have dark brown hair, my hairdresser used the Inoa ammonia free professional range, she is on maternity leave and I do it myself now - and it is so much easier, I find. Also this brand seems to improve the condition of my hair, not the opposite. I matched with my natural colour and as soon as I se...

Who do you bank with?- need both GBP and EUR accounts

Hi, After more than 15 years with my bank and a recent bullying episode about updating my records, I am very keen to leave them. Where do you bank? In particular, do you have recommendations for banks which offer both UK and EUR accounts, so that I can have cards in both currencies and not pay ridic...
