Re: Chestnut Grove feedback

I'm not in any way affiliated to CGA or the PFA but the OP seems to have formed a fairly strong opinion in just 6 or so weeks of school which is interesting. It also sounds to me like they need to stop moaning from the sidelines and get involved and influence from the inside.

Re: Abacus and weir link nursery in balham - opinions!!

Hi Can't comment on Weir Link other than visually after having attended kids parties there. It's a nice space. I don't know anyone locally who actually sent their children there. Have had children at Abacus for last 8 years and love it. My children have been looked after by the same staff in that ti...

Re: Have you had your colours 'done'?

I would say it will probably be the best £120 you will ever spend on clothes shopping. Totally transformed how I shop and what colours I wear. Results were amazing in terms of compliments about how well I was looking when I started wearing the right colours. I've also done style which I also found r...

Re: Henry Cavendish Balham or Telferscot-any opinions?

I have children at HCB and know plenty of people with kids at Telferscot. Both are excellent schools, recently rated outstanding by Ofsted. My comment would be that we are all happy with the schools. My perception is that HCB maybe a bit more diverse in terms of children, but that is not based on an...

Re: Thoughts on reusable nappies please?

I think it is a great idea to offer reusable nappies but in my experience the ability to try before you buy is really valuable as certain types/ brands of reusables work better depending on size and shape of your baby. Have you thought about perhaps offering hire kits of a few different types? There...

Re: Can anyone help my find a good midwife team??

Hi Congratulations on your pregnancy. A couple of observations..... It may be worth keep trying the Clapham team (the ones out of the Clapham Family Practice). I was initially told no, but kept enquiring and space did become available. They are a great team - caseload midwives are few and far betwee...

Re: Help with cooking

Have you thought about a slowcooker? I recently bought one and am loving it. Cooked casseroles, bolognaise sauces, curries, meat and veg chilli, tagines. All prepared night before or in morning and then left to cook on low setting for whole day.

Re: Young children in crowded places

Another useful tip is take a picture of your child that day. If they do get lost you have an up to date picture of them in the clothes they are wearing.

Re: Riverford or Abel and Cole?

Hi I have no experience of A&C but can confirm that Riverford is completely flexible - you can set up a regular order which you can add to or cancel each week. We have been a customer for about 7 years and love it. They are also trialling some fab new recipe boxes too at the moment, which are ge...

Re: Where to go for a 2.5 year old to learn to ski?

Hi As other posters have said 2.5 is a bit too young. Ski school generally starts from 3 or 4. When you do start, go for morning lessons as your child will be less tired - we did afternoons the first year and kept getting calls that the kids had fallen asleep mid lesson !! Mark Warner and Espirit ar...
