Re: Ears pinned back advice

Just thought I'd post to let you know that I had this surgery done thirty something years ago when I was 9 / 10 yrs. I'm so pleased I did - even without having experienced any bullying. Well worth a few days off school with a big bandage round my head!

Re: Where to move to?

We moved to Harpenden in Hertfordshire and have since met many other families from Nappy Valley who have done the same. Most people choose Harpenden for the easy city commute, excellent state schools and village feel. I miss Balham terribly but we have a large house and garden, lovely friends, acces...

Re: HELP - Sooooo we know that this is the best place to liv

Happy to help - just message me with any questions you have. In terms of Heathrow, I think we're about 45 minutes away on a good day but I confess we haven't driven it since we moved here so you'd need to double check. Certainly the M1 is ten minutes away. Good luck with it all - we found it extreme...

Re: HELP - Sooooo we know that this is the best place to liv

We left lovely lovely amazing Balham / Clapham last year after 12 years of living in London. It took 12 months to find the perfect place and finally settled in Harpenden which is next to St Albans. 90% of people we have met here are Londoners with young kids who have moved here because the schools a...

Re: looking for a NEW CLEANER BUT ONE THAT DOSE NOT STEAL TH

I know a great cleaner who is honest, reliable and Professional. She only does Balham though. Let me know if you want her number. I have known her for 6 years. Just a word of caution.... A friend of mine sacked his cleaner when a few bits started to go missing (a camera here, a jumper there), compla...

Re: Grove Hall nursery - Ofsted 4 Inadequate

I was really sad to read the report and had to join in this discussion because i feel strongly that my kids really loved, and thrived at, grove hall. I cant argue about the facts - there is no excuse for poor ratios but there are so many good things about it that i cant believe they deserve such a s...

Re: poker of catchment areas: Honeywell v Bellev v alderbroo

Definitely have a look at Henry Cavendish - its a brilliant school. You'd need to live pretty close but you'd be right on tooting common, close to the other commons, moments away from the centre of sw12 and its absolutely fantastic community. But then again, I'm very biased!

Hi, I wondered if anyone has any fantastic ideas for my husband's 40th birthday present? Something memorable and thoughtful (!). Re: Grove hall Nursery Balham Grove

When I was looking for a nursery for my first daughter four years ago grove hall was the only one with a big, light, stimulating space. She was incredibly happy there and as a parent I always knew she was cared for well. Staff were lovely, activities varied and educational. Now my second daughter go...

Re: eczema?

We have had some really good results since seeing a specialist at st George's. Before then we have seen several doctors privately and local gp, who despite speaking with confidence on the subject haven't really had a clue. A few things that I think have really made a difference: Ditch the weaker cre...
