Re: Private versus NHS for birth

I've had 2 babies at St Thomas'. both deliveries were not straight forward and both babies required neonatal care afterwards. I thought all the midwives and obstetricians during labour were amazing and all staff in the neonatal wards were brilliant. The hospital is fully equipped to deal with any em...

Re: Chelsea Westminster versus st.Thomas NHS maternity

I had both mine at St Thomas'. Antenatal appointments were a combination of GP, midwives at Clapham Manor and obstetrician there as required. The care during delivery was amazing, the postnatal ward afterwards not so great but if you don't have stay long it's manageable. If you have a straight forwa...

Re: Croydon Tongue Tie Clinic/Posterior Tongue Tie

Might be a bit late but I had the exact situation as you. I had my daughters tongue tie sniped at the Croydon clinic and couldn't rate it highly enough. I was worried about how traumatic the procedure would be for my daughter but I think it was worse for me than her. She was fine and fed well straig...

Re: Do 'no junk mail' signs work?

I have a no junk mail sticker that I got from the library. I still get several leaflets, menus a day as well as the glossy magazines. I make a point of not using the places whose leaflets come through the door.

When we drove to Italy we stayed in Epernay in La Villa Eugene. We loved it and the Avenue du Champagne.

Re: Best place to get car washed?

I use the place in the car park at Westfield. H2O I think it's called. You drop it off and go and shop or eat or watch a movie and pick it up when you're done.

Re: Which Phil and Teds?

I have a Dot which I love. I needed something as small as possible width wise to fit in my hallway so I didn't even bother looking at the other others. It's very heavy to lift if you are putting it in and out of the car, etc but its easily manoeuvrable with 2 kids in it.

Re: Loft bathroom - saniflo?

We have one. Ours has never clogged. As long as you don't put anything other than toilet paper and human waste (as our plumber described it) in it, you should be fine. The noise isn't really that bad, we don't really notice it at all.
