Re: Rat swept out of SW London restaurant into person on str

I think it's taking it a bit too far referring to the establishment as "a restaurant"... but no, it's not supposed to be funny. Rather to warn us what's in the news & where not to take the kids for a treat!! Also... I feel for the employee... they just wanted that thing out of ...

Re: Any suggestions for activities for 1yr old

Forgot to add a big thumbs up for It's a Kid's Thing in Earlesfield, but also recommend you phone first as they do a lot of birthday parties & are closed to the general public during these times... the staff are excellent, though & it's easily accessible via the train as it's around the corn...

Re: Any suggestions for activities for 1yr old

Hello! I have been working as a nanny in this area for the last 5 years & you've been given some great names & activities already, but I thought I'd add that Bertie & Boo's in Balham High Street have an Adventure Island cafe, opposite the Polish church. Their original coffee shop is stil...

Re: Aussie-born, British nanny seeking live in position!

I just realised that I did not mention I have been driving for over 20 years & have a clean licence & experience driving in London! I'd be happy to work 2 or 3 days a week, with a couple of days free to work another nanny position, if this suits someone with a part time need & a live in ...

Re: Just received rejection letter from Broomwood

I agree that it is a very stressful time for parents & even the wee ones themselves... We do put a lot of stress on our children accademically in this country, & when you live in an area like Between the Commons there is that much more competition for school places. Having said that, there a...

Re: Children who take FOREVER to get things done!

I am a big believer in rewards & in timers for getting children to complete tasks... whilst I do not yet have an iphone, I love the sound of this app! Congratulations on coming up with a terrific & up to date solution to an age old problem!

Re: Spacious and friendly room wanted for my nanny

Hello New To Earlsfield, I am also a nanny looking for somewhere to live in the area. I currently work part time just off Wandsworth Common, so my budget is not quite as high as the previous poster's nanny, but if she is not interested, I might be... I am looking at a couple of places this weekend, ...

Re: How do you clean the inside of a rubber duck?

Please be careful with bath toys, it's not just an aesthetic problem! When I was a child my little sister (2-years-old) drank water from the inside of a bath toy... even though our mother (who was a kindergarten/nursery teacher) always squirted out the water from our bath toys when we got out, there...
