Re: Happy Faces kids hair salon WEBBS ROAD SW11 6SF

Beautiful salon....but in my opinion i would rather pay the same price for a good haircut without all the gimmicks.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but going to the hairdressers is about the quality of the cut, and for that reason I would also avoid Happy Faces. :(

Re: Bottle refusal - recommend a lactation consultant?

I also saw Katherine Fisher.....lovely lady who i would highly recommend. Bit of a trek as she is out in Croydon/Addiscome.......but worth the journey and money. She even did our follow up consultation for free!!! :D

Re: Baby with cradle cap - any advice?

Nothing new to say.....but we used olive oil too. Straight after a bath we rubbed it in quite liberally. Left it for a few hours then started to brush the scalp with a soft baby brush. It took a few days of doing this.....but it shifted it better than any of the stuff from the pharmacy. :D

Re: Help - my 7 month old refuses to take a bottle!

OMG....I saw Katherine Fisher too!!! Diagnosed my baby withing seconds of walking into the room (tounge tied). Don't even get me on the subject of Tounge tie and the NHS.......i am so angry as i had problems feeding my baby for months before i saw Katherine. I visited at least 10 feeding clinics and...

Re: Has anyone managed to get creaky stairs/floorboards fixed?

Hi

Has anyone had the carpet up to look at them yet?

We had a similar issue....but it was a big job and the floorboards needed replacing (which my husband did) we replaced them with chipboard flooring panels rather than wooden flooring (as we were just putting carpet back over the top)

Re: Sausage and Grapes for Tea - Unhealthy?!

I agree with most people.................the key is, everything in moderation. I think it's important to let children try out different foods, whether they be deemed healthy or not. I let my children try everything as i want them to be broad minded when it comes to food. I do however try to educate ...

Re: playmat

Hi

I use a gym mat that i purchased on line from a store that sold gym equipment. If i can find the name of the shop...then i will let you know. Its thick, but quite heavy if you need to move it around. On the plus side....it's waterproof and wipe clean ;)

Re: fake posts

Hi Annabel Thank you so much for your response, it was very much appreciated. I wasn't in any way suggesting that this was the fault of Nappy Valley....far from it. This is a very difficult thing to monitor and almost impossible to prove. As an Admin, you have a very difficult job of looking out for...

Re: Is it right that parents become churchy to get a school plac

very interesting debate!!! personally i don't think this is any worse than families who lie about where they live (i know plenty who use grandparents addresses etc) to get in to a particular school. When it comes to finding the best school for your children, then i think parents will use any means n...

fake posts

I used to trust these pages for "real" recommendations......but just lately I have seen so many fake posts, or rather......cheeky advertising where are people making up reviews/recommendations for each other. It's a shame that some of the pages are being used a marketing tool :( Maybe i'm ...

Re: Baby haircut

I agree with HJM. Went to happy Faces, the cut took about 5 minutes and wasn't 'finished' properly round the ears etc (short cut for a boy) felt a bit like a conveyor belt. Took my boy to a mens salon in wimbeldon for the next one. The cut was quick but they spent a long time finishing it and tidyin...
