Re: C - Section at St Georges

I'm not sure I agree with that as it's clinically proven that the sooner you get up and about the sooner your body recocers. You can of course ask to stay but from my perspective I felt very much ready to go home and whilst I agree it did feel daunting before the op it made perfect sense when I was ...

Re: C - Section at St Georges

I had a c-section at George's and was out the next day. They run a programme called enhanced recovery which aims to get you on your feet, everything having gone well, the evening of the op. With a planned c-section I don't see why they would keep you in, it's only an emergency where your body has be...

How does nanny pay work if only employing 2 days a week and another family employ for 3?

Hi I'm completely bamboozled. I am looking to employ a nanny for 2 days a week, she is employed 3 days a week with another employer. I assumed that we would pay 40% of her annual cost (including tax / NICs) e.g. £37k x 40% = £15k a year, which would mean we were effectively getting 40% of her tax al...

Part Time 2 day a week nanny wanted SW18

Hi I wondered whether any fabulous nannies were interested in a 2 day a week job (Monday and Friday or Monday and Wednesday) based in Earlsfield. It will be sole charge and will be looking after a 2 year old and doing the school run for a 4 year old and looking after him during the school holidays. ...

Nanny wanted - 2 days a week from Sept

Hello I'm looking for a 2 day a week nanny, we're pretty flexible with days but would prefer Monday and Fridays. Role would be to look after my 4 and 2 year old, although the 4 year old would be in school 8.30-3.30. Hours would be 8-6, however again, there is some flexibility here for the right pers...

Re: Should we bother applying to Honeywell or Belleville?

Just some other thoughts... Allfarthing will have a tiny catchment this year, prob around 250/300m in line with years before its bulge class. Next year will be even worse Floreat will most likely to continue to have a broad catchment area as minimal siblings, but this will shrink as there will be 30...

Re: Should we bother applying to Honeywell or Belleville?

Personally assuming you live around earlsfield / Wandsworth way I'd focus on the schools closest to you where you have a chance to get in.

I'm assuming the new floreat school is close to you to as a third option.

Re: Moving to Clapham - Big School Question

Hi, I wanted to say it may be worth you looking at Wandsworth prep. It's a small independent school that would definitely be able to cater for the challenges of your elder children needing to pick up the language. My children don't go there but having looked around it seems a very caring and nurturi...

Re: Belleville 2015 Reception place not needed as going Priv

I may have just woken up grumpy, but I'm slightly outraged by this. How can parents who aren't going to take the places not let the council know. I find that pretty selfish behaviour.

Re: British Airways kids meals

Just to add my tuppence worth! I don't know about short haul but long haul you have to select one if you do want a child meal otherwise you'll get served an adult meal. Benefits of ordering one are, in my view, - your child gets their food first so you can help them eat whilst you're waiting for the...

Re: Wee Ones

Sorry to open an old post, but I'm about to sign on the dotted line but realised unlike other nurseries here's not much positive feel back out there. Does anyone have any thoughts?
